Mother Nature is putting on a show for the last day of WinterWonderGrass, it's beautiful outside! It's been such a great weekend of discovering new music in between some of my favs! I can't wait to check out the action today, here's our must-see artists for the last day of the festival:
1) Dead Winter Carpenters
Main Stage | 5:30 pm
Tahoe City locals + extremely talented musicians, this one's an obvious choice! The Dead Winter Carpenters been blowing up since they opened up the very first Live at Lakeview concert back in 2012. They've build a rock-solid reputation for pouring their heart and soul into every performance. If you're looking for a band with ambition, talent and authenticity, look no further!
2) Leftover Salmon
Main Stage | 7:15 pm
Leftover Salmon has been on the scene almost as long as I've been alive! I have so respect for these guys, but I've yet to see them live... until tonight! THe first line of their bio reads, " Colorado Slam Grass Pioneers." That's all I need to know, I'm in.
3) Horseshoes + Hand Grenades
Pickin' Perch | 3:15 pm, 5:00 pm + 6:45 pm
I'll admit, these guys were note even on my radar until I started reseaching the lineup. THeir name drew me in, but their music kept my attention! Hailing from the river town of Stevens Point, Wisconcin, Horseshoes + Hand Grenades (HHG) plays progressive high-energy old-time folk music + it's amazing. They have strong roots in old-time and bluegrass, yet found their own style born from the diverse backgrounds and influences and the 5 buddies who make up HHG. Can't wait for 3 sets filled with their jams!
What were some of your favorite performances of the weekend? We can't wait to spend another day dancing in the mountains with all of you!
